The first task for this module is to create a post in the comments section at the bottom of this page. The comments are used throughout the course to voice thoughts and opinions on different aspects of opposition analysis, and to interact with others taking the course.

Please write a short introduction which includes the following:

Details about yourself
The club you currently work for (if applicable)
Your aspirations in the football industry
The reason you decided to enroll in Opposition Scouting & Analysis
What you aim to take away from this course

The second task is to research what computer software you’re going to use to produce an opposition report in full. Common formats are:

Microsoft Power Point
Keynote
Pages
Microsoft Word

A professional looking report will need to include pictures, diagrams, graphs and possibly other visualizations. Please consider this when performing some research. Remember, nothing’s final, and the opposition report to hand in for evaluation will be the final task for the course.

  30. My name is alson . I am currently student of civil engineering and now question arise why is he enrolling this course. While studying engineering i also try to create online content like match analysis , transfers etc. I started to make video on match analysis since 1 year and now i feel blank in the sense that how can i describe game better than i did before. Online i have found people just saying formation like 3-2-5 (on ball) and ohh look fullback inverted and all but what i feel is thats not why that game was lost or won. There must be deeper things like the 1 vs 1 situation that happens in midfield , pinning of backline giving enough space to arrive late. So reason why i joined this course is i wanna know why exactly the team lost or won and understand what could have been better solution. And for analysis i use powerpoint sometimes metrica (free version).
