About the Role:
Aston Villa Football Club is seeking a proactive and forward-thinking intern to join its Academy Performance Analysis Department for the 2025/26 season. This paid, season-long placement is aimed at postgraduate students studying for an MSc in Sports Performance Analysis (or related fields) and offers a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand experience within an elite football environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support analysis processes across pre-match, live match, and post-match settings.
- Deliver analysis content that supports player development from U9 to U21.
- Provide detailed statistical reports, video footage, and feedback materials for coaching staff and players.
- Assist with managing video libraries, analysis databases, and departmental projects.
- Support the implementation of the Academy’s playing style and individual development programmes.

Who We’re Looking For:
- Enrolled (or planning to enrol) in an MSc in Sports Performance Analysis, Coaching, or Sports Science.
- UEFA C Licence or Level 2 Coaching qualification (or relevant playing experience).
- Strong knowledge of football and player development.
- Passion for analysis and proactive attitude to learning.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and flexibly as needed.
- Previous performance analysis experience is desirable but not essential.
