About the Club

Motherwell FC competes in the Scottish Premiership and is known for its strong community identity and commitment to player development. The club is focused on progressing both on and off the pitch and is now seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Performance Analysis to lead and evolve the department.

Role Overview

As Head of Performance Analysis, you will play a central role within the Football Operations team. You will lead all First Team analysis processes, delivering insights that support tactical planning, performance optimisation, and player development. This includes pre-match, live match, and post-match work, as well as the strategic direction of analysis at the club.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the First Team’s performance analysis operations and strategy.
  • Deliver detailed match, opposition, and training analysis.
  • Provide live match-day support and contribute to post-match debriefs.
  • Work closely with coaching staff to inform tactical decisions and player feedback.
  • Oversee individual player analysis and development tracking.
  • Manage software and tools such as Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, and Keynote.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Previous experience in a senior football analysis role.
  • Excellent tactical understanding of the game.
  • Proficiency with Sportscode, Hudl, video editing tools, Keynote, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Previous experience as a Head of Analysis.
  • Degree in Performance Analysis or related discipline.
  • Familiarity with data analysis.
  • FA or equivalent performance analysis qualifications.
