EIS Skills for Performance
The English Institute of Sport (EIS) is looking for the next generation of support staff to join the team that has helped to develop a wealth of European, Commonwealth, World, Olympic and Paralympic medallists since 2002. The EIS’s hugely successful 3 day immersive residential course, ‘Skills4Performance’, will be returning in early 2017 to help with this search.
On the 6th – 8th January the English Institute of Sport is running its 3rd edition of Skills for Performance (S4P), an intense immersive experience where we will throw open our doors to the future drivers of Performance Analysis. The candidates will be given an exposure to the applied work we do at the EIS, an insight into how we do this, and we will share our thoughts on the Skills and knowledge they will need to have to be the best applied analysts they can be!
Practically half of the three days are spent in technical sessions with our most experienced analysts, while the other half is spent with the other disciplines cohort learning about the ‘non technical’ skills needed to work in elite sport and listening to inspiring speeches from former athletes and coaches. We will also set them challenges and tasks to do so we can see what they are made of!
They have 10 spaces available for the best applicants in PA and the cost is pretty decent (£150) considering that covers two nights’ accommodation and all food included . The application process and further info is found in this link http://www.eis2win.co.uk/2016/09/19/skills4performance-return-2017/
I’ve heard some great things about this programme so would really encourage you to check it out.
