Intern First Team Performance Analyst

About The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for sandwich year/postgraduate students to join our analysis department as First Team Performance Analyst Interns*. The role will provide successful candidates with experience in a professional environment, training with industry-standard hardware and software, and continued personal development support, in addition to a complimentary lunch and kit.

Potential Tasks & Learning Opportunities:

  • Filming of first team training sessions and matches.
  • Uploading video footage to the club’s SaaS platforms.
  • Supporting the creation of materials in preparation for upcoming opposition.
  • Creating individual clips to support ongoing player development.
  • Maintaining and updating statistical databases.
  • Completing ad-hoc tasks at the request of the lead recruitment analyst and members of technical staff.

About The Candidate

Essential (E):

  • Currently undertaking an undergraduate/postgraduate degree in a sports-related field.
  • Living a commutable distance from the stadium.
  • Access to own mode of transport.
  • Access to own laptop, preferably MacBook.
  • Interest in, or knowledge of, performance analysis processes.
  • Displays department values: Methodical, Exciting, Resilient, Introspective, Top Communicator.

Desirable (D):

  • Experience with, or knowledge of, performance analysis processes.
  • Displays department values: Methodical, Exciting, Resilient, Introspective, Top Communicator.
